Jimmy Kimmel elicited laughs last night at the Oscars when he mentioned a blockbuster diet pill that's taking Hollywood by storm.
The TV host told the crowd: “Everyone looks great. As I look around the room, I can't help but think, ‘Is Ozempic right for me? “.
Ozempic and Wegovy soared in popularity after becoming the first drugs proven to help weight loss.
Celebrities like Elon Musk and Remi Bader have revealed they use the drug to help lose fat. They have been rumored to be used by many other celebrities looking slim recently.

These drugs act like a hormone in the brain to make people feel less hungry and slow the removal of food from the stomach — thereby promoting weight loss.

The comedian revealed she was prescribed Ozempic to help fight aging — but she didn't even realize she was taking it.
The 47-year-old said she lost a few pounds on the drug but stopped using it after realizing it was Ozempic — a drug she says should be reserved for diabetics.
The drug was originally developed for diabetics, but trials have shown it has the added benefit of blocking hunger.
Ozempic is a weakened version of Wegovy, designed for obesity.
On the podcast Call Her Daddy, Handler said, “So, my antiaging doctor just handed it to anybody.
‘I didn't even know I was on it. “If you want to lose five pounds, that's fine,” she said.
She only found out at lunch with friends shortly after returning from a holiday in Spain last year.
Her friend told her that she hadn't actually eaten anything and felt nauseous from taking Ozempic. Handler replied that she, too, felt sick, but it was probably due to her jet lag.
When she said she was injecting herself with semaglutide, her friend explained: “That's Ozempic!”
Handler said: “I'm not there. So irresponsible.
“I've given about four or five friends Ozempic because I realized I didn't want to use it because it was silly.” It's for heavy people.

One of the richest men in the world says Ozempic keeps him “fit and healthy”.
Elon Musk says he lost nearly 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms) while taking the drug.
He revealed that he was using it last October when a fan asked him what his secret to a slimmer new look was.
“Fasting,” replied Musk, 51, before adding: “And Wegovy.”
He also said his transformation came down to: “Fasting + Ozempic/Wegovy + no good food for me.”
He said his weight loss journey started after seeing unflattering photos of himself on a yacht.
The 51-year-old's weight-loss formula has sparked admiration from fans.
He also admitted to suffering side effects from the drug. One Twitter user asked: “Does it give you those nasty burps? Tastes like rotten eggs haha.
He replied, “Yes, to the next level.”

Plus-size model and TikTok star Remi Bader also revealed she uses Ozempic.
The 27-year-old was prescribed the drug when she became prediabetic.
She lost some weight while on the drug, but said she regained twice the weight when she stopped taking it.
“I was like, ‘I bet I'm going to starve again,'” she told the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast in January.
‘I did it. My binge eating got worse so I sort of blame Ozempic. I doubled my weight after that.
She went to the doctor about all the weight she had regained and was told “100% because of you taking Ozempic”.
She said she was now “annoyed” that the drug had become a trend because it was reserved for diabetics.

In January, Khloe shared a photo of herself on the cover of lifestyle magazine Sorbet.
However, it quickly drew a response from social media users, who said: “The fact that she uses diabetes [sic] The drugs used to achieve this weight-loss effect are troubling.
After reading the comments, Khloe was quick to dismiss the suggestion.
She replied: “Let's not discredit my years of working out.
“I wake up at 6 a.m. five days a week to train. Please stop your assumptions. I guess New Years still means mean people.
Her younger sister, Kim Kardashian, has also faced claims of using Ozempic.
In May, the reality star revealed that she lost 16lbs (7kg) in three weeks so she could wear Marilyn Monroe dresses.
She has never commented on the allegations, although they continue to surface on social media.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has also denied that she took the diet drug Ozempic.
The celebrity faced claims after posting a photo of herself in tracksuit in January.
She responded to one commenter: “Don't spread lies. I'm not on Ozempic.
Asked about the claims in an interview in February, she said: “I can't stand people saying that because people who know me know that I get up at five or six at the latest … I'm in the gym for two hours.
“I really put a lot of effort into eating and exercising and taking care of myself, so it's frustrating when people think I'm taking shortcuts.”
She also blasted the claims about a week ago, telling People magazine: “I didn't even know about Ozempic until I had lost all the weight I wanted to lose.
“I actually started losing weight eight months ago because I quit drinking eight months ago.”
She added: “It's not any diet pills, never touched it. So it's really frustrating for me because I'm really trying.

The comedian revealed she lost 10 pounds (4.5kg) in about three weeks, prompting claims she took Ozempic.
But the 60-year-old, who also suffers from diabetes, was quick to fight back, saying she was actually using a drug called Mounjaro.
This is a weight loss drug similar to Ozempic, but uses the drug tirzepatide to target two hunger hormones instead of one.
Studies have shown that there is no significant difference in the amount people lose depending on the trials they take part in.
Of the drug, she said: “I would say it feels like freedom. Freedom from intrusive thoughts about food, about what you eat.
“I think it's fantastic.”
O'Donnell also stepped up her workouts and cut back on sugar and artificial sweeteners to help with weight loss.
She also switched from drinking five Diet Cokes a day to drinking water.

McCain said there are obvious problems with taking medications designed for people with diabetes.
She said: “There's a clear moral issue here. It's hard to take medicine because swimsuit season is coming and other people need it to stay alive.
She also raised concerns about whether the drug was healthy.
“One pill or one shot won't solve everything in life, but Americans tend to strive to do just that. Ozempic does that perfectly.
She said she had to set an example for her daughters, who would one day face the same beauty standards.

Real Housewives of Miami stars Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton were forced to deny they took Ozempic.
The rumors sparked after the pair received a “mystery injection” at a doctor's office during the show's fifth season.
But in response to the rumours, Nepora insisted they were injected with vitamin B-12.
“It's for energy, and it has other nutrients in it,” she tells Page Six.
“The doctor gave it to Marysol because she was feeling weak and lethargic, [it] Might have to do something with her diet, but B-12 is always good for anyone's health.
The body uses vitamin B-12 to build red blood cells—necessary to transport oxygen—and to build DNA.
Everyone should be able to get enough nutrients through a balanced diet, with major sources including beef, eggs and dairy products.
If someone is vitamin deficient, they may need injections every two to three months for the rest of their lives.
