Olly Murs weight loss: Photo shows star’s body transformation

British pop star Olly Murs has completely transformed his body over the past few years.

The 38-year-old has lost an incredible amount of weight and has seen tears in his physique after undergoing a physical and “mental transformation” last September.

olly of fame X factor In 2009, he began his fitness journey in 2020, according to The Sun.

In 2019, the singer underwent knee surgery, which caused him to gain weight.

That same year, Olly began dating his bodybuilder fiancé, Amelia Tank, who inspired him to look his best after rehab.

While discussing his lean physique with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on the BBC radio show Heart Breakfast, he spoke of his girlfriend's help.

“She's not a personal trainer, but she's been in bikini competitions in the past, and she does train a lot, but she's actually my personal trainer,” he explained.

Ollie joked, “More than one way,” before adding in a more serious tone: “She's smart, and she's absolutely amazing.

“She just gave me a little extra encouragement and she said, ‘This is not something I can do, you have to do it yourself. You have to get up every day and do it. So I said, ‘Okay, I will.'”

this wrap up The singer continued: “So she made this little nutrition plan for me and I went out and did it, and I loved it. I still love it.”

In March 2020, the star lost almost 12kg after being bedridden with an injury and unable to work out.

Ollie told The Sun Online: “I was only 14lbs 3lbs. I was always between 12lbs 8lbs and 13lbs. I am now 12lbs 8lbs .

“That weight was not good for me. I didn't feel well, I had really bad sleepless nights and I was short-tempered.

“I'm just not who I am, so I'm glad I'm back where I feel most comfortable.”

Then in July 2021, he showed off his fantastic six-pack in a new photo, showing off his incredible physical transformation.

“Gunna (sic) telling my kids I'm a model for Calvin Klein,” he joked.

The star continued to work out at the gym and eat clean.

Last September, Olly showed off his work on Instagram.

Fitness trainer for The Voice judges, Rob Solly, showed before and after photos of his progress over the past five months on his Instagram page.

In the new snaps, he can be seen looking sullen in the previous photo, while flashing a huge smile in the latter.

The X Factor star's trainer explained Olly's hard work in a lengthy note, illustrating that the benefits go beyond rock-solid abs.

He wrote: “Transformation focused on the physical, but what makes these photos special to me is the spiritual aspect of @ollymurs journey over the past five months.

“Honestly, he's had this physical transformation a few times before.

“But after undergoing his last leg surgery six months ago, Ollie is no longer the energy and optimism he once was.

“After getting himself in amazing shape and ready to hit the road in 2021, Ollie's knee complications (anterior cruciate ligament injury more than a decade ago) started to crop up and the really tough decision to come back ‘with surgery' was made.

“Having been on crutches for a few weeks now, when I went out there to train, he doubted he'd be able to get back in shape and be at the level of fitness he was a few months ago.”

He added: “Some classes are not what they used to be and Ollie told me recently that he gets annoyed when I ask him to do pull-ups etc during classes.

“But even though some of our meetings were tense, Ollie showed up every Monday and Friday.

“Little by little, this started to change and this artist I knew who was always challenging himself during our sessions started to reappear.

“Music got louder, training tops got looser, and before long Olly added boxing and swimming sessions to his training. He was self-motivated. Added weekly sessions at @viphq.”

He concluded: “We talked about this journey last week and I admire his honesty and ability to be honest. So to me, the photos mean less than being rejuvenated, confident, and in @ollymurs Joy and faith.

“Someone who lights up a room for so many people. Olly I'm super proud of you, you did it, you made things happen (11:11) & I can't wait for the world to hear your new album.

“Don't forget everyone on Team Murs. John Green Physiotherapist (king of the rowing machines), @dansargeant.performancechef, his supplements and cooking definitely helped get over the ‘hump'. And of course future Mrs Murs @ tankintraining, her macro discipline, role model setting, constant love and drive made this picture a reality.”
