Katie Maloney’s Thoughts on Ozempic Use for Weight Loss

Although it's designed to treat type 2 diabetes, Ozempic is rumored to be the new drug of choice for celebrities trying to lose weight. Some people have strong concerns about trends, but Katie takes a middle path on this one.

“I say everybody do what you want,” the podcast host recently told people. “Know the risks, and if it's right for you, it's right for you. I think the expectations [for women to be thin] With or without … this miracle drug, they will always be there,” she said.

“There's always going to be pressure,” she continued. “So thank you to Hollywood, thank you to the media, thank you to society for keeping this going. But I just thought, you know, if it makes you happy, follow your happiness.”

In the past, the Utah native has shared her personal approach to health and fitness. In 2020, Katie lost over 20 pounds by making small adjustments to her diet.Note that it is not go on a diet.

“I don't think dieting is sustainable, it's very short-term and it just sets you up for failure,” Katie once told Hollywood life. “So now I feel like I just know how to eat for my body and my metabolism.”

That's when Katie starts her day with a partial egg white omelet, avocado and feta. While she's not a big snacker by nature, she's trained herself to eat more often throughout the day.

“For a snack, it's always fruit or a nibble of nuts and cheese or something,” Katie tells hollywood life.

For lunch, she eats a “massive giant protein salad” topped with grilled chicken, and dinner is usually chicken with “delicious and simple” side dishes like broccoli or green beans.
