Justin Jefferson on one-handed catch: Unreal, it felt like a movie
Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a lot of bright spots in his three-year NFL career, but he came out on top in Buffalo on Sunday.
The Vikings had to convert 4 and 18 when they trailed by 4 in the fourth quarter, with quarterback Kirk Cousins watching the way Jefferson and Bills defensive back Cam Davis defending well took him. Jefferson grabbed the ball with one hand and took it away from Davis for 32 yards, keeping the Vikings alive in one of the most entertaining games of the season and of any other season.
Outside KJ Osborn called Jefferson's catch “one of the coolest things I've ever seen,” says head coach Kevin O'Connell after Vikings' 33-30 overtime win It was “one of the best catches I've ever seen”. In Jefferson's own opinion, such a catch would be a signal for him and the Vikings.
“It felt like it wasn't real, it felt like a movie,” Jefferson said via Andrew Cramer Minneapolis Star Tribune“I tell everyone what that means, this is our season, we're going to win, go to the Super Bowl. We just have to keep working.”
If the Vikings do achieve this, Jefferson, who had 10 catches for 193 yards on Sunday, is likely to add more clips to his highlights before the year ends.
