Jessica Simpson weight loss: Instagram photos have fans worried

Fans have renewed concerns about the singer's health after Jessica Simpson looked visibly thinner in her latest photos posted on Instagram.
Simpson, 42, posed for photos with her husband and children as the family celebrated Valentine's Day, but her post was quickly inundated with hundreds of comments, with some fans asking if the singer was okay while others defended her.
“Clear!! Something is wrong,” wrote one fan.
“That can't be her…she looks like a totally different person!” another fan wrote.
“Why does she look so different?” another fan asked.
But others came to Simpson's defense, with one fan writing: “This girl won't beat anyone. No matter what size she is, she's always beautiful.”
“If she's heavier they're talking. She's skinny and they're still talking! Let her go!” said another fan.
Simpson – who famously lost 45kg following pregnancy with the help of a nutritionist a few years ago – spoke about the attention her weight loss has received in a recent Instagram post.
“The biggest thing I've learned in the past 5 years is that I can and always will get through it without alcohol as my escapist guard. I'm capable of almost anything I care about ,” wrote Simpson, who opened up about her previous struggles with alcohol in her memoir open the book.
“I have sympathy for the bigoted hate that some people can so effortlessly blurt out with such intensity on social media or the media in general.”
“Although I've learned to block out the destructive noise… people's comments and judgments [sic] Their constant nagging of “you'll never be good enough” can still hurt them deeply,” she continued.
Concerns about Simpson's health were initially sparked by a selfie she posted last March, with many noting that she looked “gaunt”.
She quit drinking in 2017 and shared a throwback photo of her “unrecognizable” from last year, showing her at the depths of her alcohol addiction, marking four years of sobriety. “This person on the morning of November 1st, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself. I have so much self-discovery to unlock and explore,” she captioned the photo, which she sports in pink Clothes, no makeup, looks like she's crying.
“I knew that this was the moment when I would allow myself to take back my light, to demonstrate victory over my inner battle of self-esteem, and to face the world with great insight.”
Simpson spent Valentine's Day with her husband Eric Johnson and their three children: Maxwell, 10, Ace, 9, and Birdie, 3.
