‘I just stopped eating’: 6 foot tall man with life-threatening eating disorder dropped to just 31 kg

James Roffey, 34, turned his life around after battling his eating disorder, which he endured for 10 years from the age of 17 to 27.

He was a professional football player but was fired from the team. The incident made him “feel not good enough” and he began to “punish” himself by restricting food.

Meanwhile, he was struggling with his A-Levels and caring for his late grandmother, who was battling bowel cancer. Yorkshire Live quoted James as saying: “All three things happened and I didn't feel like I was good enough, like I had nothing.
