Fans Love Rebel Wilson’s Recycled Oscars Look From Before Weight Loss

Rebel Wilson loved this dress so much she's wearing it again!
Fans hailed the “senior” star for recreating her past Academy Awards looks at this year's Vanity Fair Oscars gala.

Wilson, 43, wore the same gold off-the-shoulder Jason Wu gown on the 2020 Oscars red carpet.

“Same dress in 2020 (just in the back),” Wilson wrote on her Instagram Story, sharing a candid post-party photo with Brad Pitt.

She also shared a GIF of herself in a dress by fiancée Ramona Agruma. “Oscars 2023. Sustainably re-wearing the @jasonwu dress I wore to the 2020 Oscars,” she wrote on Instagram.
Her supporters loved seeing her in the altered dress again.
“You looked beautiful then and now,” one fan commented on the recycled look on her Instagram post.
“Yes, to re-wear! Looks incredible,” wrote another.
“Sturning!!” another fan commented. “Girl, that dress is AMAZING, you need to give it as much airtime as possible!!!”
Wilson's stylist Elizabeth Stewart also hailed Wilson as “the queen of sustainability” on Instagram.

A few things have changed in Wilson's life since she was last seen in the sparkly gown.
In June, she opened up about her romance with designer Agruma on Instagram. The couple got engaged in February and appeared at this year's gala together. Agruma's elegant draped suit is also a recycled look. She wore the same outfit to the 2017 Golden Globes, according to her Instagram story.
In November 2022, Wilson also announced that she was expecting a child via surrogacy.

Wilson has also changed her approach to fitness since she last wore the gown. In 2020, amid the pandemic and on the eve of her 40th birthday, she shared on social media that she was starting her “year of wellness.”
In 2020, she revealed that she lost over 70 pounds thanks to various lifestyle changes, including walking more, eating a healthier diet, and focusing on physical and mental self-care.
“It's just about keeping your body moving and keeping your blood flowing,” Wilson told TODAY.com in 2021.
“I think sometimes people think you need to work out really hard to get results, and yeah, if you're training to be the next Thor or something, you're going to be doing some hardcore stuff,” she continued. “But walking is too healthy for you as an average human being. The body is designed to move that way.”
While she's proud of her weight loss, Wilson also stresses the importance of not getting too fixated on the number on the scale.
In July, she shared on Instagram how she was treating herself after finding out she had put on a few pounds over the holidays.
“I'm at an amazing all-inclusive resort,” she wrote. “I've lost all self-control. But you know what? I can get up tomorrow and go to the gym, hydrate, eat healthy, and love myself.”
“If you're anything like me, you know you're more than your weight,” she added. “Do your best to stay healthy and don't be too hard on yourself.”
