Kakaiya says “overeating and not staying within the calories you need for the day” is the problem with weight loss. Research also supports the claim that overeating can lead to weight gain. A study published in the journal Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism found that creating a calorie deficit may help with weight loss. The reduction in calories will eventually lead to weight loss.

Fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet, so if you're trying to lose weight, make sure you're eating plenty of these.
