Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada Crushes a Leg Day Workout Six Weeks Out of 2022 Olympia – Fitness Volt

Hunter Labrada is training discreetly, hoping to improve his status at the 2022 Olympia by bringing the perfect physique to the stage. Labrada is an IFBB professional bodybuilder and one of the top contenders in the Men's Open category. He is the son of bodybuilding legend Lee Labrada and has inherited the passion, ability and genes to be a top bodybuilder. The 30-year-old earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the 2018 NPC National Championships. Labrada has won two professional bodybuilding shows in his career so far.

The 2020 Tampa Pro win earned him direct qualification for the 2020 Olympia, where he finished eighth. The Labrada descendant then went back to the drawing board to qualify for the 2021 Olympia by winning the 2021 Chicago Pros and bulldozing a top-five finish, finishing fourth in the race name.

While lying leg curls are a more popular hamstring exercise, research shows that seated leg curls are more effective in hamstring development because they provide a greater range of motion. The pendulum squat is an ideal compound exercise for overall thigh development. However, the main focus is on the quads and glutes. The pendulum squat can be modified for greater hamstring stimulation by adjusting the position of the feet. Labrada did a few heavyweight sets before moving on to the next exercise.
