Amber Riley says she doesn’t do diets for weight loss

Amber Riley is setting the record straight for how and what she eats. February 10, masked singer The winner shared a video of making her favorite salad on Instagram.
“Lots of people ask me about ‘diet.' I don't diet,” she wrote in the caption. “I do listen to my body and eat intuitively. I don't starve or deprive myself of things I like to eat, I just don't overindulge and I try to cook my own meals instead of eating out all the time.”
In the video, glee alum Shared that she hates arugula and spinach, but she loves sprouts. “I have to have them in every salad,” the 36-year-old explained. Riley also added pears, strawberries and a dash of cheese.
“I've done a lot of work in therapy to repair my relationship with food,” the caption continued. “I'm still learning and forgetting some things. This salad is one of my favorite things to make. It's delicious and really filling! I hope you enjoy it!
Riley recently took to social media to say how much better her skin feels. In a June 2022 Instagram post, she shared a video of herself wearing gym shorts. She captioned the post, “There was a time when I wouldn't get caught wearing shorts. Now I think, let them eat cake.”
That same month, she took to Instagram to call out men who had only sneaked into her private messages on Instagram after she lost weight, calling the move “fat-phobic” — and reminding them that nothing had changed “except weight.”
In 2021, Riley told Yahoo Life that self-love is an “everyday decision.”
“I don't think it's a whole destination where someone just sits in it and then they're confident all the time, they're loving themselves all the time,” she noted. “It's an ongoing journey, and it's a decision you make every day.”
When asked what habits have helped her mental health the most, the multi-talented person replied: “Good routines have helped my mental health. I wake up at 9:30, walk my dog. Get in touch with nature It's very important to our mental health to be healthy…the weather in California is amazing so making sure the sun hits my skin makes me energized. So I do have this routine and find the ones that make you happy and keep your mind Something that calms or makes you feel good is essential throughout the day.”
